Mike Powell

Mike Powell is a natural-born entrepreneur and seasoned real estate investor based in San

Antonio, Texas. His journey in real estate began in 2008 when, at just 20 years old, he obtained

his Real Estate license to support his college education at Texas A&M.

After relocating to San Antonio in 2011 and balancing work in the oil fields, Mike reached a

pivotal decision; rather than continue as a real estate agent and watch others profit from his

efforts, he resolved to become the investor himself and pursue his passion for real estate.

By 2012, he partnered with Mitch Stephen to establish Moat Enterprises. In his inaugural year

as an investor, he successfully bought and sold 28 houses. Since then, their collaboration has

thrived, culminating in over 1500 successful transactions by 2021. Together, they engage in

diverse ventures including owner financing, land development, storage facilities acquisition,

lending, and operating a wholesale company.

Today, Mike's business acquires a minimum of 100 houses annually, supported by a robust

investment portfolio totaling $12 million in private capital. By procuring properties from

wholesalers through private investments, Mike flips them to owner-occupants and external

investors. He also operates a hard-money brokerage, offering viable investment opportunities

even to those without credit or financial histories. Mike exclusively focuses on in-state lending,

targeting individuals with available cash who seek to grow their investments securely in real

estate, which he believes offers more tangible benefits than volatile stock markets.

Central to Mike's success are his strong relationships with investors and lenders alike, built on

trust and mutual benefit. Mike has consistently expanded his real estate enterprise, attributing

much of his success to the steadfast support of his loyal lenders. Mike is also a proud husband

and father to two daughters.
